Legendary Match of the Day host Gary Lineker is set to take on a new role, according to The Sun. The former footballer has been invited to coach in the Baller League UK.
Lineker will join fellow football icons Alan Shearer, Micah Richards, John Terry, Luís Figo, and other legendary players, all of whom will also coach teams in the league.
To promote the entertainment tournament, a video has been created featuring these figures, along with the iconic Ronaldinho.
The competition will feature 12 teams, each with six players. Matches will be played indoors on a weekly basis, with each game consisting of two 15-minute halves.
The Baller League is a mini-football tournament featuring football legends and popular YouTubers, similar to the Kings League founded by Gerard Piqué in Spain. The Baller League has already been successfully held in Germany.
The league will be overseen by well-known YouTubers KSI and IShowSpeed, with the first games scheduled for March 2025. Matches will be streamed by Chunkz on Twitch.
