Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho ended the team's dreadful streak in yesterday's match against Aston Villa (3:2), breaking a 212-day goal drought for the Red Devils at Old Trafford.
Garnacho became the first Manchester United forward since May of this year to score at Old Trafford in a Premier League match. Interestingly, immediately after Garnacho's brace, another forward, Rasmus Hojlund, marked his first goal in the league.
Prior to Garnacho, the last forward to score at Old Trafford in the Premier League was Jadon Sancho, who secured a victory for Erik ten Hag's team against Fulham (2:1).
The 19-year-old Argentine also put an end to Manchester United's goalless streak in the league, which had lasted for over 7 hours.
