The legendary Welshman is about to change professions and become one of the owners of English side Plymouth.
Details: According to The Telegraph, 35-year-old Gareth Bale is now leading an American company that is looking to acquire Plymouth Argyle, currently competing in the Championship.
It is reported that negotiations are underway between Plymouth owner Simon Hallett, who holds 97% of the club’s shares, and a group of private American investors aiming for a full takeover.
Simon has been seeking new investment for at least a year. He had previously given a preliminary agreement to sell a stake to new investors, but last month announced that the deal had fallen through.
Interestingly, just two months ago, Bale’s former teammate at Real Madrid and Tottenham—Croatian Luka Modric—joined the same company, becoming one of the owners of Swansea.
Reminder: The Plymouth vs Sheffield United match ended in a brawl. An expert believes that fines are unavoidable.
