Gallants Reinstates Malesela Following Heavy Losses; Crucial Matches Ahead for the Club

Marumo Gallants has reinstated Dan Malesela as their head coach after placing him on special leave two weeks ago. During his absence, Sundra Govinder and Duncan Lechesa guided the team, but results were disappointing, with an 8-1 loss to Orlando Pirates and a narrow 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune United.

The club has now decided that Malesela's experience and leadership are very important to help the team stay steady. The team is currently in 13th place in the Premiership, with 10 points from 11 games. A source said Malesela started working again on Monday and is prepared to guide the team in their next match.

On January 4, 2025, he will play his first game back against Richards Bay FC. On January 11, he will play Cape Town City, and on January 18, he will go to Chippa United. Following the draw on January 9, Gallants will also play their opponents in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32. For Marumo to turn around their dismal season, the forthcoming games are crucial.
