Galatasaray Promise Victor Osimhen and Teammates €5m Bonus If They Eliminate Liverpool

President of Galatasaray, Dursun Özbek, has reportedly promised Victor Osimhen and the rest of the squad a €5 million bonus if they eliminate Liverpool FC and secure a place in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Reports from Turkey indicate that Özbek made the pledge after Galatasaray’s 1–0 victory over Liverpool in the first leg of their Round of 16 clash. The incentive is aimed at motivating the players ahead of the decisive second leg scheduled for next week.

According to Le Marca Sports, Osimhen played a key role in securing the potential reward for the team after reportedly negotiating the bonus on behalf of his teammates.

Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük revealed that the Nigerian striker proposed the idea during discussions with the club’s leadership.

“Victor Osimhen said, ‘If we eliminate Liverpool, let the bonus be €5m,’ and President Dursun Özbek accepted this,” Küçük was quoted as saying.
