Alexis Vega may be on the verge of a move to Europe, with Turkish giants Galatasaray expressing strong interest in the Toluca forward. According to TUDN journalist Marco Cancino, head coach Okan Buruk has been tracking Vega for the past six months and has requested his signing during the summer window. The Mexican international is currently competing in the Gold Cup, where scouts are closely monitoring his performances.
Vega, 26, remains under contract with Toluca through December 2027 and is considered the team's captain and attacking leader. However, a potential transfer could shake up the club’s plans heading into the Apertura 2025.
His market value is listed at $11.7 million by Transfermarkt, while his reported release clause within Liga MX is estimated at $15 million. Galatasaray may be willing to make a move, especially if they complete a few outgoing transfers to fund the deal.
With the Turkish club circling and Vega performing on an international stage, his exit could become one of the summer’s key storylines for Toluca.
