Galatasaray Determined to Keep Davinson Sánchez Amid Transfer Interest
Galatasaray are reportedly unwilling to part ways with Davinson Sánchez despite receiving formal offers from other clubs, according to Futbolred. The Colombian center-back has impressed with consistent performances and has become a key figure for both the Turkish giants and the Colombian national team.
Sánchez, who is under contract through 2027, has attracted attention from clubs across Europe and the Middle East. Galatasaray, however, are prepared to reject all bids unless an extraordinary financial proposal is made, particularly from Saudi Arabian teams. The club sees Sánchez not only as a defensive leader but also as a contributor in attack, having registered six goals and four assists in 66 appearances.
His recent performance in the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce was widely praised after he prevented a clear scoring opportunity, solidifying his status within the team. His growing role with the Colombian national squad has further enhanced his profile on the international stage.
As Galatasaray sit atop the Turkish Super Lig table with 71 points, three ahead of rivals Fenerbahce, the presence of Sánchez in the backline becomes even more vital in the title race. Club officials are reportedly working to improve his contract terms to ensure his long-term commitment.
Sánchez is expected to feature in Galatasaray’s next fixture on Friday, April 11, against Samsunspor, where he will once again play a central role in the team’s defensive strategy.
