Galatasaray have confirmed that their star striker, Victor Osimhen, has successfully undergone surgery following an arm injury sustained during last week’s Champions League match against Liverpool at Anfield.
The Nigerian international was forced to leave the pitch during Galatasaray’s 4-0 defeat in the Round of 16, after sustaining an injury that prevented him from continuing the game.
In an official statement released on Monday, the club said:
“Our player Victor Osimhen, who was injured and unable to continue playing in our away match against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, underwent a successful operation today at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital, performed by our club doctor, Op. Dr Yener İnce.”
