Future decided. Karim Benzema agrees personal terms with Al-Hilal
Karim Benzema was unable to reach an agreement with Al-Ittihad over a new contract, so he has decided to leave the club and move to a direct rival.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the French footballer has agreed on personal terms with Al-Hilal. The deal now depends solely on the two clubs reaching an agreement. Benzema, for his part, is awaiting a formal notification from his prospective new club.
In the current season, Karim Benzema has already made 21 appearances for Al-Ittihad, scoring 16 goals in that span.
We previously reported that Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport has stepped in and suspended Benzema’s transfer to Al-Hilal under pressure from Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star is unhappy with the fact that Al-Nassr are receiving less funding for transfers than other clubs.
Reminder: We previously reported that Al-Nassr published their starting line-up for the league match. As it turned out, Cristiano Ronaldo was included neither in the starting eleven nor in the matchday squad.
