It appears we may soon witness Britain’s biggest boxing showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, but unexpected circumstances have now entered the picture.
Details: According to BBC, the fight could fail to take place because of a pop star. The singer involved is Dua Lipa. Turki Al-Sheikh reportedly suggested that staging the bout could be put at risk if the singer does not agree to take part in the promotional campaign for the event.
It has now emerged that she has declined to participate. At this stage, it remains unclear what will happen next.
It was recently confirmed that the two British boxing superstars — 36-year-old Anthony Joshua and 37-year-old Tyson Fury — have officially signed an agreement for their blockbuster clash.
Reminder: Joshua currently owns a professional record of 32 fights, with 28 victories, 25 of them by knockout, and 4 defeats. Fury, meanwhile, steps into the ring with 35 bouts to his name, recording 32 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw.
