The WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, revealed that the rematch against Oleksandr Usyk is planned for October 2024.
"Joshua? For some reason over the last five years there's always been some s--- that gets in the way of [me fighting]. But unfortunately, I've got bigger fish to fry in Usyk on May 18. And we have a rematch in October. So, after that, if he's still available and I'm still available, let's get it on." Fury said.
On March 8, Anthony Joshua mocked Francis Ngannou, knocking out the Cameroonian fighter in the second round.
Earlier, Fury stated that the winner of the Joshua-Ngannou fight would face the victor of his two bouts against Usyk.
The first championship bout in the heavyweight division is scheduled for May 18 in Riyadh. Initially set for February 17, the first fight was postponed due to a cut Joshua sustained in training camp.
