Fully recovered! Kylian Mbappé returns to Real Madrid team training
French forward Kylian Mbappé rejoined full team training with Real Madrid on Thursday.
Details: According to RMC Sport, Kylian Mbappé is back with the main group, training alongside Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga. Ferland Mendy is still recovering and has not yet returned to team sessions.
To recap, Mbappé was diagnosed with a left knee injury on December 31. By January 11, he was already back on the pitch, coming off the bench in the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona (2-3) in the 76th minute, though he didn’t manage any goal contributions. He entered the pitch to help his team, but he wasn’t yet at 100% fitness.
The French striker needed more time, which is why he missed the high-profile Copa del Rey clash against Segunda side Albacete, where Los Blancos suffered a shock exit from the tournament (2-3).
However, he is expected to feature in the next game. On January 17, Real Madrid host Levante at home, with kickoff scheduled for 14:00 Central European Time.
Reminder: During the Albacete vs Real Madrid cup match, a home supporter threw a banana at Vinicius.
