Details: According to The Athletic journalist Laurie Whitwell on his X social media page, Manchester United’s management is set to sign a new contract with 44-year-old head coach Michael Carrick very soon.

Reports indicate that Carrick’s new deal will run until 2028, with an option for a one-year extension. It is also known that Carrick will retain his current coaching staff in full, and may additionally bring in set-piece specialist Andreas Georgson, who is open to returning to work.
Michael Carrick took charge of Manchester United in January this year following the departure of Ruben Amorim. Under Carrick’s leadership, the Red Devils have played 15 matches, recording 10 wins, 3 draws, and just 2 defeats.
