From Premier League star to Twitch: former England international finds an unexpected career path
Dele Alli’s story has taken an unexpected turn. The former Tottenham and England midfielder has tried his hand at streaming on Twitch and has already amassed around 150,000 followers. It remains unclear whether this will mark a new chapter in the footballer’s life or merely be a temporary pastime during his break from professional football.
It was previously reported that the player had been training with amateur club Windsor & Eton, who compete in the eighth tier of English football. The sessions helped him maintain his fitness and stay sharp.
The last club of the 30-year-old Englishman was Italian side Como. The two parties terminated his contract in September 2025, and Alli made just one appearance for the team during his time there. Since then, the midfielder has been working to regain his form and find an opportunity to return to the football pitch.
Just a few years ago, Alli was regarded as one of England’s most promising footballers. He enjoyed considerable success in the Premier League with Tottenham and also represented the England national team.
