The match between Milan and Parma kicked off with an extremely unpleasant incident.
Details: By the 15th minute, Massimiliano Allegri was forced into an emergency substitution: one of the team’s key midfielders, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, suffered a serious injury and could not continue the game.
The incident unfolded during a Milan attack. Alexis Saelemaekers whipped in a cross into the box, where Loftus-Cheek was charging in at full speed. Parma goalkeeper Edoardo Corvi, attempting to clear the ball, unintentionally delivered a powerful blow to the head of the hosts’ number eight. The midfielder collapsed to the turf instantly and was unable to get up on his own.
The medical team rushed onto the pitch. After assessing the player’s condition, the doctors decided to use a stretcher, securing the footballer’s neck and head before taking him to the dressing room. The injured Englishman was replaced by young Ardon Jashari.
It’s worth noting that as of the 20th minute, the score remains goalless.
