French sensation: Boisson increases her Instagram followers by 50 times during Roland Garros

French tennis player Loïs Boisson has emerged as the true revelation of Roland Garros—not just for her exploits on the court, but for her remarkable surge on social media. Ranked 361st in the world at the start of the week, Boisson is set for a significant leap in the global rankings, but her Instagram following has already skyrocketed by dozens of times.
Before the tournament began on May 25, her account had around 6,400 followers. Fast forward two weeks to the morning of June 8, and that number soared to 313,000—a nearly 50-fold increase.
To recap, Boisson made a stunning run to the semifinals of her home Grand Slam, where she fell to American star Coco Gauff with a scoreline of 1-6, 2-6. Nevertheless, this sensational performance propelled her up 296 places in the live WTA rankings, landing her at No. 65.
Additionally, following her impressive breakthrough, Loïs has submitted an application for a wild card entry to the upcoming Wimbledon tournament.
