Franco Colapinto reacts to his 22nd birthday with a Taylor Swift nod

Formula 1 rising star Franco Colapinto recently celebrated his birthday, turning 22. To mark the occasion, the Argentinian driver posted on his Instagram page with a playful reference to American pop sensation Taylor Swift.

The Alpine driver shared a photo of himself, captioned “Crazy 22. What a beautiful number.” In the image, he also tagged Taylor Swift’s account.

It’s clear Colapinto was alluding to Swift’s hit song “22,” released as a single from her fourth studio album, Red, on March 12, 2013.

As a reminder, the Argentinian was recently promoted to a full-time race seat with Alpine and has already competed in two Grands Prix. However, he is yet to score his first points: Colapinto finished 16th at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and crossed the line 13th in Monaco.

The next round of the Formula 1 championship takes place this weekend in Spain at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Notably, another motorsport star, Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin, was recently named the official ambassador for the iconic Spanish venue.
