UFC President Dana White recently claimed that Francis Ngannou would have made more money if he had stayed in the UFC.
The Franco-Cameroonian fighter sharply responded, accused White of lying to him.
Quote: "Well, unless he was writing me the check, I don’t understand how he could know that. I, as someone on the inside, who received money after leaving the UFC, know what UFC was offering. It was just a trap; it wasn’t even a reliable contract. So, that’s a lie. Dana is lying," Ngannou told ShakMMA.
Reminder: Ngannou’s last two fights were in professional boxing. First, Francis lost in a competitive bout against Tyson Fury, and then he was knocked out by Anthony Joshua. The referee stopped the fight in the second round after Francis was dropped by an AJ punch.
Following these bouts, the Franco-Cameroonian fighter announced his return to MMA.
Ngannou has previously expressed interest in fighting former boxing world champion Deontay Wilder, and he’s also keen on a rematch with Tyson Fury.
