France and Real Madrid midfielder out until the end of the year

Real Madrid and France midfielder Eduardo Camavinga was injured during the national team's training session.

According to Relevo, the player will miss the end of 2023 due to this injury. Camawinga injured his right knee after a collision with winger Ousmane Dembélé. He will miss home games against Napoli, Granada and Villarreal at home, as well as away games against Cadiz, Betis, Union and Alaves.

It is currently unknown when the player will be able to return. It is likely that he will play in the Spanish Super Cup, which will take place from 10 to 14 January in Saudi Arabia. On 10 January, Real Madrid will play Atlético Madrid in the semi-finals.

Camavinga was first called up to the French national team on 27 August 2020, after Paul Pogba was diagnosed with COVID-19. Edouard became the youngest player to be called up to the French national team since 1932. On 8 September, Kamawinga made his debut for France in the Nations League match against Croatia, coming on as a second-half substitute for N'Golo Kante. Camawinga (17 years, 9 months, 29 days) became the youngest player in the French national team since 1914.

In October 2020, he came into the starting line-up in the 7-1 win over Ukraine and opened the scoring with a through ball. Camavinga became the youngest goalscorer for the French national team since 1914.
