Found the scapegoat? Sean Dyche is ready to part ways with England's number one goalkeeper
Sean Dyche may part ways with Jordan Pickford and is prepared to replace him with another goalkeeper. It seems the Everton manager holds the England international responsible for his team’s defensive struggles at the start of the season.
Details: According to Sportbible, the Toffees' boss is considering replacing Pickford in January if his form does not improve. Potential replacement Nick Pope of Newcastle, who previously played under Dyche at Burnley, is being considered.
Recall: Everton has lost all four of its opening Premier League matches, including games against Bournemouth and Aston Villa, where they led 2-0 at one point. Fans have criticized Dyche for his team selections and lack of flexibility with tactics and substitutions.
Additional: Sean Dyche tends to return to players he has previously managed. James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil have already joined Everton from Burnley under their former coach, and another former Burnley player, Michael Keane, is also part of the squad.
