The legendary attacking midfielder James Rodríguez, who has been a free agent, has finally found a new club.
According to Edu Aguirre, James is on the verge of signing with La Liga side Rayo Vallecano.
The deal is said to be a one-year contract with an option for an additional season. James is expected to arrive in Madrid in the coming days for a medical examination.
James Rodríguez's last club was Brazilian side São Paulo, which he left earlier this summer.
The seasoned midfielder was named the best player of Copa América 2024. In 6 matches during the tournament, he registered 1 goal and 6 assists, helping Colombia reach the final.
In the first round of La Liga 2024/25, Rayo Vallecano pulled off a surprising away victory against Real Sociedad.
