Formula 1 star Max Verstappen announces he's going to be a father

Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen has revealed on his Instagram account that he and his partner, Kelly Piquet, are expecting a child.

The driver posted a heartwarming photo with his girlfriend, sharing their excitement and how eagerly they are anticipating the arrival of their baby.

Kelly Piquet is the daughter of legendary Formula 1 driver Nelson Piquet, a three-time world champion. Verstappen’s father, Jos Verstappen, was also a former racing driver, and it was through their fathers that Max and Kelly first connected in 2016.

The couple began their relationship four years ago and have been inseparable ever since. They currently reside in Monaco, in a luxurious home worth £13 million.

Previously, Piquet was in a relationship with another F1 driver, Daniil Kvyat. She has a daughter from him, born in 2019.

It’s also worth noting that last month, Verstappen claimed his fourth consecutive Formula 1 title, tying Sebastian Vettel’s record and becoming the second-youngest driver to achieve such a feat.
