Formula 1 calendar for 2026 unveiled. Plenty of changes ahead

The current Formula 1 season is entering its thrilling climax, but FIA bosses have already revealed their plans for next year’s campaign.
In the upcoming season, teams will have more opportunities for pre-season preparation. There will be two test sessions: a five-day private session in Europe (with three days allocated for each team) in January, and two public sessions, each lasting three days, in Bahrain in February.
Of course, there are notable changes to the race calendar itself. Next season, the Imola Grand Prix will be absent, but for the first time ever, the Madrid Grand Prix will debut in September, and for the first time since 2012, Spain will host two races.
Other significant adjustments involve shifts in the Grand Prix schedule: the Canadian Grand Prix moves to May, the Monaco Grand Prix will take place in June for the first time since 2003, and the Belgian Grand Prix is set for July 19th — the earliest Spa race since 1987.
The season will also feature six double-header weekends and two triple-headers, both coming at the end of the campaign. August and December will each see just one race, while November, with four Grands Prix, will be the busiest month on the calendar.
