Former three-time boxing Champion Israel Vazquez diagnosed with cancer

Former three-time boxing world champion Israel Vazquez is fighting for his life after receiving a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis.

Reminder: Vazquez won the WBC super-bantamweight title twice. He first won the title in December 2005, defeating Oscar Larios. After losing the title to Marquez 18 months later, Vazquez regained it by defeating his old foe in a rematch. He then successfully defended the title in their trilogy fight seven months later.
