Former Teammate Set to Join Mohamed Salah at Trabzonspor After Leaving Al-Ittihad

Former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is reportedly set to reunite with Mohamed Salah at Trabzonspor after leaving Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.

The 32-year-old Brazilian is closing in on a move to the Turkish Super Lig club, with Trabzonspor reportedly reaching a verbal agreement to sign him as a free agent.

Fabinho was recently pictured wearing a Trabzonspor shirt while travelling on a private jet, further fuelling reports that his move is close to completion.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Trabzonspor have arranged Fabinho’s travel and medical as they work to finalise the deal.

The Brazilian midfielder previously spent five seasons alongside Salah at Liverpool after joining the Reds from Monaco in 2018. He made 219 appearances for Liverpool before leaving for Al-Ittihad in 2023.

Fabinho could now reunite with Salah in Turkey, with the Egyptian forward having recently joined Trabzonspor and already made an impressive start to life at the club.
