Former Orlando Pirates captain endorses Mosimane as head coach candidate

Jose Riveiro left Orlando Pirates a few rounds before the end of last season, and the club has yet to decide who will replace the Spaniard. However, one candidate has already received the backing of a former Pirates captain.

Details: In an interview with iDiski Times, Thabo Mngomeni revealed that when he read the news about Orlando Pirates considering Pitso Mosimane for the head coach position, he was pleased with the prospect.

Quote: "I was very happy. I think he is capable of achieving something significant or continuing what Riveiro started. Without a doubt, Pitso possesses all the necessary qualities, no question, absolutely," commented Mngomeni.

As previously reported, Pitso Mosimane did not rule out the possibility of replacing Jose Riveiro as head coach of Orlando Pirates. He made it clear he is open to returning to the South African Premier League.

Reminder: Mosimane managed Mamelodi Sundowns from 2012 to 2020. After that, he coached Al Ahly Cairo, Al Ahli Jeddah, Al Wahda, Abha, and Esteghlal.
