Former Napoli defender could return to Serie A
The current Italian champion, Inter Milan, intends to strengthen their central defender position in the upcoming summer transfer window. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club has shown interest in Kim Min-jae from Bayern Munich.
It could work in Inter's favor that there are good relations between the clubs following the transfers of Jan Sommer and Benjamin Pavard.
However, the only possible scenario for Kim to join Inter would be on a loan basis, and Bayern Munich is open to such terms.
It's worth noting that the South Korean defender moved to Bayern Munich in July 2023 from Napoli for a substantial fee of 50 million euros. However, he has not yet reached his previous level at his new club.
Kim's contract with Bayern runs until June 30, 2028, and this season he has scored 1 goal and provided 1 assist for his club.
