Former German star Bastian Schweinsteiger and former tennis star Ana Ivanovic on the brink of divorce
Former German national team footballer, Bayern Munich legend, and player for other clubs, Bastian Schweinsteiger, is reportedly on the brink of divorce from his wife Ana Ivanovic, according to Bild. The publication claims this is due to the couple spending very little time together.
Schweinsteiger frequently travels extensively, while Ivanovic resides in Belgrade with their children. Currently, for instance, Bastian is in Jakarta, Indonesia, while his wife is thousands of kilometers away.
It is noted that the couple has rarely been seen together in recent months. In September last year, they attended the Laver Cup tennis tournament in Berlin, and their last joint Instagram post was made in December when they visited a Christmas market in Vienna.
Two weeks ago, they posted a joint Instagram story, but it was soon revealed to be a pre-recorded advertisement. It confirmed the extension of their contracts as brand ambassadors for BRAX.
To recap, Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic met in 2014 and married two years later. The couple has three sons, born in 2018, 2019, and 2023.
