Former Champions League winner with Barcelona now works as a sports store salesman

A footballer who played for Barcelona and even became a Champions League winner with them now works as a sports goods salesman at an Intersport store. This footballer is Jérémy Mathieu, who played in Catalonia from 2014 to 2017.

Mathieu's new job came to light thanks to a photo taken with fans, which was later posted on social media. It is known that he is the store manager and heads a department. The Frenchman is also eager to return to football and is undergoing training to obtain a coaching license.

It is worth noting that during his 3 years at Barcelona, Mathieu played 94 matches, scoring 4 goals, one of which was in El Clásico against Real Madrid. With the team, the Frenchman won the 2015 Champions League, two La Liga titles, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Besides Barcelona, Mathieu also played for Valencia, Sochaux, and Toulouse. He ended his football career at Sporting Lisbon in 2020. He was also a player for the French national team, for which he played 5 matches.
