Former Bournemouth footballer Jordan Chiedozie in coma after car crash
Former Bournemouth striker Jordan Chiedozie, 30, is in a coma following a severe car accident, with doctors fighting to save his life, reports Daily Mail.
The incident occurred as Chiedozie and his physiotherapist were returning from an away match for Bashley FC, a non-league club.
Their vehicle suffered a tire blowout, forcing them to stop on the motorway. As Chiedozie stepped out to assess the situation, he was struck by another car. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
"They were both outside the vehicle when it was hit heavily from behind by another car. The driver of that vehicle has been arrested for alleged drink-driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving," read an official statement from Bashley FC.
The club has expressed its support for Chiedozie’s family and is hoping for a positive outcome in what remains a critical situation.
