Former Arsenal Player Responds to Initiative Supporting player's Family after his tragic passing
Mohamed Elneny, the midfielder for Al-Jazira Club in the UAE, has responded positively to an initiative launched by Mohamed Samir, former Al Ahly player and current Zed FC player, to support the family of the late Mohamed Shokry, a Kafr El-Sheikh player who tragically passed away following a heart attack during a second-division match.
Samir took to social media to encourage his fellow players to contribute financially to Shokry's family. He wrote, "I ask all my player friends and brothers to help his wife and children. I've been in contact with someone and learned how tough their situation is."
Elneny immediately jumped in to offer his support, saying, “Great idea, Mohamed, I'm with you. Please send me a private message with your contact information.”
Players may generate a substantial sum to support Shokry's family with even modest donations, according to Samir, who had previously stated that donors should personally make sure the money reaches the wife and kids.
