Former Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere, who retired from football at a relatively young age, is rapidly progressing in his coaching career.

Details: Today, the 32-year-old coach stepped down from his position as head coach of Arsenal's U-18 team, which he had held since the summer of 2022.

Wilshere's new role has officially been confirmed as assistant manager at Championship side Norwich City, where he will work under head coach Johannes Thorup.

There is a clause in Wilshere's contract that allows him to become head coach should the Danish manager be sacked.

Reminder: As a player, Wilshere made 182 Premier League appearances and earned 34 caps for the England national team.

After 11 rounds of the Championship, Norwich sits in seventh place.
