Alexis Sanchez's return to Udinese has not gone well, to put it mildly. Having not played a single match for the old-new team, the club from Udine excluded him because of his Serie A bid.

Admittedly, as Marca notes, Udinese's decision is not final, as the club can still change the bid to include him later. But, it is believed that the injury sustained by the Chilean back on 21 August could be quite serious.

On top of the nearly three weeks that Sanchez has already missed, the forward could be out of football for another month. But that doesn't mean that Udinese have basically cut him out of the squad. They want him back to football after the October pause for international matches.

Recall that Udinese became the first European club in Sanchez's career, where he first joined in 2006. After loans to Chile's Colo Colo and Argentina's River Plate, the forward managed to establish himself in the team from Udine, from where he moved to Barcelona in 2011.
