Forest Boost Attack with Joy Omewa Signing

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Nigeria international forward Joy Omewa from Danish side Fortuna Hjørring. The 23-year-old arrives on a permanent deal running until the end of the season.

Omewa began her career in Nigeria with Confluence Queens before moving to Boldklubben af 1893 in 2021. She later joined Fortuna Hjørring, where she scored more than 50 goals and helped the club win two Danish Women’s Cups and the Kvindeligaen title in 2024-25.

Head coach Carly Davies said: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Joy Omewa… Joy’s incredible goalscoring prowess speaks for itself.”

Omewa added: “I am delighted to sign for Nottingham Forest… I can’t wait to get started.”

Forest sit sixth in WSL2 and face Birmingham City and Charlton Athletic next.
