In the UEFA Champions League second leg, Barcelona faced Newcastle and thrashed the English side. However, there was also bad news.
Details: Just minutes before the final whistle, Barcelona goalkeeper Joan García felt pain, and after receiving medical attention it became clear he could not continue. He was replaced by Wojciech Szczęsny.
Incidentally, Lamine Yamal failed to deal with one of the situations and attempted an ill-advised backheel pass, which ultimately led to Newcastle’s goal.
Reminder: The first leg between the two sides, played in England last week, ended in a 1–1 draw. The winner of this tie will face either Atlético Madrid or Tottenham.
