For the Second Year in a Row: Italian Serie A Named the Best League in the World
In 2024, Italian Serie A was once again recognized as the best football league in the world by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). This marks the 13th time the league has earned this title since the ranking's inception in 1991.
Spain's La Liga moved up to second place, surpassing the English Premier League, which has consistently been in the top three for the last eight years.
Brazil's Serie A retained its fourth-place position, ahead of the German Bundesliga. Argentina's Professional League showed significant progress, climbing four spots to take sixth place.
Portugal's Primeira Liga maintained its seventh spot, ahead of France's Ligue 1, which dropped two positions. Belgium's First Division A and the Netherlands' Eredivisie round out the top 10, with the latter dropping several spots.
