In 2028, the hockey calendar will look significantly different from what we are used to.
Details: The NHL has officially announced that, together with the league’s Players' Association, it will resume the World Cup of Hockey.
The new World Cup featuring eight national teams will take place in the winter of 2028.
This will be the first edition of the tournament since 2016, which featured six national teams and two combined teams – Team Europe and Team North America U-23.
Reminder: These days, for the first time in 8.5 years, the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament is taking place.
