Relevo reports that the leader of Atletico Madrid, Antoine Griezmann, sustained an injury during the Champions League match against Inter Milan.

It has been revealed that the French forward injured his ankle and was substituted in the 78th minute of the game. Griezmann will miss the upcoming matches for Atletico with the aim of recovering for the return leg in Madrid on March 13. Remarkably, this marks Antoine Griezmann's first injury in two years. His last injury occurred in January 2022, causing him to miss seven matches.

Recall that on Tuesday, February 20, Inter hosted Atletico Madrid, with the Milanese side securing a narrow 1-0 victory. The Nerazzurri clinched their win in the 79th minute, breaking through with a swift attack. Martinez's shot was parried by Oblak, and Arnautovic successfully followed up to secure the victory for his team.

It's worth mentioning that on August 31, 2021, Atletico's official website announced Antoine's return to the club on a one-year loan deal. On October 10, 2022, Atletico announced the permanent acquisition of Griezmann from Barcelona, signing him until the summer of 2026.
