On Wednesday, May 14, the Coppa Italia final saw Milan face off against Bologna.

The outcome of the match—and the fate of the trophy—was determined by a single goal, scored early in the second half. Bologna's striker Dan Ndoye found the net in the 53rd minute, putting his team ahead.

Despite Milan's efforts to equalize, they couldn't break through. Their opponents defended resolutely, and the Rossoneri failed to create any truly dangerous chances.

Bologna edged out Milan by the narrowest of margins to claim their first Coppa Italia in 51 years. The last time they lifted the trophy was in 1974. This also marks the club's first major title since 1998, when Bologna won the Intertoto Cup.

Milan haven't won the Coppa Italia since the 2003/04 season. Their last appearance in the final was in 2018, when they suffered a 0-4 defeat to Juventus.
