For another tournament. Nagelsmann could extend his contract with the German national team
Julian Nagelsmann took charge of the German national team in the fall of 2023 and led his side to the Euro 2024 quarterfinals. He extended his contract until 2026, but further collaboration could be on the horizon.
Details: According to Bild, the German Football Association is discussing the possibility of extending Nagelsmann's contract. The governing body intends to continue working with Nagelsmann even after the 2026 World Cup and is prepared to offer a deal running until the summer of 2028.
The coach himself is reportedly open to the idea and is not opposed to signing a new contract to stay with the team. However, earlier reports indicated that he would definitely leave the German national team after the World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Reminder: We previously reported that Manchester United had considered three candidates to replace Erik ten Hag, one of whom was Julian Nagelsmann. However, the club ultimately opted for Ruben Amorim.
