Vincent Kompany has been given an unusual instruction as Bayern Munich take extraordinary measures to protect their head coach's health.

Details: According to assistant coach Aaron Danks, Bayern's management have strictly forbidden football-related conversations with Kompany while he recovers from his recent hospitalization. Sporting director Christoph Freund and board member Max Eberl have instructed the coaching staff not to involve the Belgian in tactical discussions, match preparations or other team matters.

The 40-year-old manager collapsed on October 23 while watching Bayern's reserve team train and was immediately hospitalized. Medical examinations subsequently revealed irritation of the meninges. Kompany was discharged on October 28 and is now recovering at home, where he has been prescribed medication and complete rest.

Danks emphasized that the club wants Kompany to focus exclusively on his recovery and spending time with his family. The Belgian is expected to remain away from the touchline until at least the end of the international break, which runs from November 9 to 17. However, Bayern have not officially confirmed an exact return date.

It's worth noting that Danks has already taken charge of Bayern during their 6-1 German Cup victory over Magdeburg and the 2-2 Bundesliga draw against Borussia Dortmund. The Munich club's next major challenge comes on November 3, when they face Atlético Madrid in the Champions League.
