MRI results for Rafael Leão revealed no muscle damage for the Portuguese forward, yet he still missed the Serie A clash against Torino.
According to TMW, the player has traveled to Portugal for further evaluation by the national team's medical staff, raising concerns that another star might be missing from the squad. Earlier reports confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo would not be available for the national team due to injury.
After the victory over Torino, AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri stated that Leão needs rest. The coach believes Rafa will be left out of the Portugal squad as he requires recovery time.
It’s worth noting that during the March international break, Portugal is set to face Mexico and the USA.
