The transfer has been officially announced.
Details: Today, Ajax Amsterdam's official X social media page announced that 19-year-old Swedish winger Maximilian Ibrahimović has officially joined the team on loan.
It is reported that the younger Ibrahimović will play for Ajax on a six-month loan deal, but the club has the option to make the move permanent if needed.
Maximilian Ibrahimović is a product of AC Milan's youth academy, and this move marks the first transfer of his professional football career. Previously, Ibrahimović Jr. had only featured for Milan's youth squads.
Maximilian's father, the legendary Zlatan Ibrahimović, played for Ajax from 2001 to 2004. The elder Ibrahimović made 110 appearances for the Amsterdam giants, scoring 48 goals and providing 17 assists.
