Following Davies. Dayot Upamecano sidelined for several weeks due to injury
For Bayern Munich, the international break turned into nothing but bad news – following Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano has also picked up an injury.
Details: The Munich club announced that the French center-back has been diagnosed with a ligament strain in his left knee. He is expected to be out for several weeks.
Incidentally, Alphonso Davies suffered a more severe injury and is out for the rest of the season. He has been diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament in his knee joint, and recovery will take at least six months.
We previously wrote that Neuer is at risk of missing the next two Bundesliga matches against St Pauli and Augsburg. However, his return for the UEFA Champions League match against Inter on 8 April is still possible. The club's medical staff will make a decision on the goalkeeper according to the situation.
Reminder: Bayern officially announced that they have reached an agreement with German midfielder and team leader Joshua Kimmich. The new contract is valid until June 2029.
