Manchester United footballer Mason Mount has finally secured permission to build a golf course on the grounds of his £4 million mansion, according to The Sun.

Mount's initial application was rejected by the local council due to concerns that the course's construction would threaten nearby trees protected under a Tree Preservation Order.
After the rejection, Mount revised his plans, moving the proposed golf facility 1.8 meters further away from the trees. Additionally, the construction will employ special foundations to avoid damaging the tree roots.
Alongside the golf course, the extension will also include a changing room, sauna, office, and gym. Mount's main residence already boasts two cinemas and a billiards room.
Given Mason Mount’s current struggles with injuries and a significant dip in his footballing form, some speculate that he could follow in Gareth Bale’s footsteps and shift his focus to golf.
At the very least, Mount will have a golf course readily available at home to practice and hone his skills.
