A report published on Tuesday by ge clarified recent rumors regarding an alleged Arab investor interested in acquiring the SAF (Sociedade Anônima do Futebol) of Fluminense. According to the Brazilian outlet, the contact did happen, but it never progressed beyond an initial inquiry.

The report states that a Middle Eastern fund approached Fluminense through an intermediary, expressing preliminary interest in exploring a potential purchase. In response, the club directed the investor to BTG Pactual, the financial institution overseeing such matters on behalf of the team.

BTG Pactual then sent a non-disclosure agreement to formalize the beginning of discussions. However, the investor did not respond, and the communication was ultimately cut off. No official proposal or follow-up occurred after that initial step.

During a meeting with the club's Deliberative Council on Monday evening in Laranjeiras, Fluminense's board confirmed that there are currently no offers on the table regarding the sale of its SAF. The clarification aims to put an end to speculation about a high-profile foreign investment.

For now, Fluminense remains under its existing structure, with no imminent changes in ownership or management strategy.
