Fluminense and Ulsan Hyundai Clash in New Jersey With Group F Supremacy on the Line

Fluminense and Ulsan Hyundai are set to meet this Saturday, June 21, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey for a pivotal Group F matchup at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. (COL, PER, ECU) / 7:00 p.m. (ARG, URU, CHI), with live coverage on DSports and DAZN, according to ESPN.
The Brazilian side arrives on a high note after holding Borussia Dortmund to a 0-0 draw in their opener. Colombian playmaker Jhon Arias was named Man of the Match for his performance, leading a talented attacking unit that also features Argentine striker Germán Cano, Colombian winger Kevin Serna, and Uruguayan midfielder Agustín Cannobio.
“We showed we’re a big club and we’re here to compete,” Arias said. Head coach Renato Gaúcho echoed the sentiment, praising his team’s intensity while noting they lacked composure in front of goal.
Ulsan Hyundai, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back after a narrow 1-0 defeat to South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns. In their third Club World Cup appearance, the reigning K League champions aim to avoid early elimination for the third time. New signing Matías Lacava of Venezuela, along with Brazilians Erick Farías and Yago Cariello, will be key to their attacking hopes.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the two clubs. Fluminense is the favorite, but Ulsan is eager to rewrite its Club World Cup history. Saturday’s match could be decisive in the race to reach the quarterfinals.
