Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong enjoy seaside holiday together amid Liverpool move

Liverpool’s newest stars, Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong, have headed off together for a seaside holiday to recharge before the start of the season with their new club. The snapshot of the duo was shared on X by Fabrizio Romano.

In the photo, Wirtz and Frimpong, sporting beach shorts, are seen posing on the bow of a yacht in the middle of the sea. Reports suggest the players chose Montenegro as their getaway destination.

It’s worth noting that Jeremie Frimpong has already completed his move from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool, while Wirtz’s transfer is still pending finalization. The German midfielder is set to undergo a medical in Britain on Friday, after which he is expected to sign a five-year deal with the English club.

Recall that Frimpong and Wirtz spent five seasons together at Bayer, during which they clinched the Bundesliga title and lifted the DFB-Pokal in the 2023/24 season.

Last season, Wirtz made 45 appearances across all competitions for Bayer, netting 16 goals and providing 15 assists. Frimpong featured in 48 matches, scoring 5 goals and registering 12 assists.
