Florentino Perez praised Fran Garcia's performance after the match against Leganes
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez visited the team's locker room after their victory over Leganes to congratulate the players and support them ahead of the decisive stage of the season.
While Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe were the most prominent in attack, Fran Garcia received special praise. The left-back played a strong match, seizing the opportunity provided by Ferland Mendy's injury. His performances have significantly improved this season.
The main advantage Garcia has over Mendy is his attacking style. In the match against Leganes, he frequently joined the attack, earning the fans' approval. He is expected to start in the next match, as Mendy's participation in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal remains doubtful.
Garcia's future at Real remains uncertain as the club considers options to strengthen the left flank. Initially, Alphonso Davies was the favorite, but he got injured, and there are alternatives like Theo Hernandez and Miguel Gutierrez.
