Flamengo’s sporting director, José Boto, has told Italian media that the club will not entertain any offers below €30 million for rising right-back Wesley, who has impressed during the Club World Cup. Interest has reportedly come from Italian giants Juventus and Milan, though no official bids have been submitted yet.

“Wesley is ready for Europe. He’s a big talent. There’s nothing official from Italy yet, but unofficially… well, €20 million won’t be enough. At least €30 million,” Boto told La Gazzetta dello Sport, stressing that any negotiations will wait until after the tournament.

Beyond Wesley, Boto revealed a bold target: Juventus striker Dušan Vlahovic. “Money isn’t the issue—it’s about convincing these big players to come to Brazil. But in football, never say never.”

Regarding coaching options should current manager Filipe Luís depart, Boto named Antonio Conte as a winner, but said Roberto De Zerbi would best fit Flamengo’s playing style. “He’s a genius—crazy, but brilliant. Filipe sleeps little and works a lot like De Zerbi, but he’s calmer.”

Boto also praised Jorginho, who recently joined Flamengo: “We tried to sign him back in January. He was born in Brazil but had never played here. He, Danilo, and Alex Sandro bring a valuable mindset to the team.”

Flamengo were the first team to qualify for the Round of 16, and could face Bayern Munich, Benfica or Boca Juniors.
